Thanks for taking the time to check us out. We’re Alex and Stephen, great friends and hemp enthusiasts from College Station, Texas and founders of Elevated Hemp Co.
Founded in 2023, Elevated Hemp Co operates from our dispensary in Bryan, Texas dedicated to sourcing the best small-batch THCA hemp flower and products around! Who We Are
While serving in the Marines, Stephen was stationed in Jacksonville, NC with MALS-29. He deployed overseas with the 22 MEU and spent time in Kuwait, Iraq, and Pakistan. After his service, transitioning back to civilian life was a challenge, especially when dealing with insomnia and other issues common among veterans. Seeking help at the VA Hospital, Stephen quickly realized that the only solutions offered were prescription pills, many of them dangerously addictive, like Ambien. If you’ve ever Googled its side effects, you know what we’re talking about.
This frustration led to deeper research into alternative medicine. While attending SMU on the GI Bill, Stephen wrote his thesis on how medical marijuana affects veterans with PTSD. In 2017, he found that veterans, who fall under federal law, have little to no access to cannabis-based treatments or alternative medicine. With Alex working a demanding career and Stephen attending college after the military, they both decided to team up and take a deep dive into cannabis research and noticed there was a massive gap in access, affordability, and awareness.
2017: The Birth Of Elevated Stash
In June 2017, we decided to create change and take our 1st leap of faith. While juggling summer school and career responsibilities, we launched Elevated Stash, a veteran-owned smoker’s subscription box. We wanted to provide quality smoking accessories at an affordable price while also giving back to the veteran community.
From the start, we’ve been committed to supporting nonprofits that directly assist veterans. We’ve partnered with organizations like Balanced Veterans Network, NORML, and other advocacy groups to spread awareness and push for change. We’ve attended meetings, rallies, and spoken at various events to shed light on the struggles veterans face when seeking alternative treatments. For us, this has never been just a business, it’s the mission.
2020: Elevated + CBD Smoke Opens
As Elevated Stash grew, we saw an even greater need, not just for smoking accessories, but for access to high-quality hemp itself. That realization led to the launch of our first hemp dispensary, Elevated + CBD Smoke, in College Station, Texas. We wanted to create a welcoming space for all walks of life, where people could find premium hemp products, ask questions, and learn more about natural alternatives that the hemp plant has to offer.
The response was incredible, and before long, we expanded to a second location in 2024, further solidifying our commitment to providing top-tier hemp products and THCA flower. In addition to our brick-and-mortar stores, we launched Elevated Hemp Co, our premium online hemp dispensary, allowing customers nationwide to access the same high-quality THCA flower and education we provide in-store.
2023: Elevating The Industry With Elevated Hemp Co
Through Elevated Stash & Elevated CBD + Smoke, we connected with thousands of customers, many of whom were veterans or individuals seeking better alternatives to traditional pharmaceuticals. One recurring issue kept coming up: access to high-quality, small-batch THCA flower and hemp products. While legalization has made progress, finding premium, trustworthy hemp products was still a challenge.
That’s why we launched Elevated Hemp Co in 2023, which is now ran through our beautiful hemp dispensary in Bryan, Texas. We took everything we've learned from our journey and applied it to sourcing the best small-batch THCA hemp flower and products available. Our goal? To provide top-tier hemp products while continuing to advocate for better access, education, and quality standards in the industry.
We believe in the power of hemp, not just as a smoking alternative, but as a tool for relaxation, relief, and wellness. We’re committed to bringing you the best THCA flower and products around while giving back to those who need it most.
